1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another. For love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
I've been thinking a bit about friendship lately. About how easy (relatively speaking) it was to fall into friendships when we were younger, and how much harder it is to find time to build friendships as adults with busy lives and busier children.
Heck, I can't even find time for myself.
But isn't that what friendships are for? We love one another, we fill one anothers' cups with the tea of kindness, and we are blessed by the reflected friendship.
Finding time for friends is finding time for ourselves, I believe. Maybe you have great ideas on how to do both... to spend time on your hobbies and with your best buddies. Maybe you have made best friends with your childrens' friends' parents and share a cup of coffee while they play.
Or maybe you talk on the phone every day to a friend you've know since forever. How do you make time for friends in the midst of the everyday hustle and bustle?
I am going to make some extra time for my friends this season.

Well, dear friend, this was a tender post.
I can't imagine how hard this must be for you to accomplish....it's not like you are busy or anything :)
Keep your chin up, things will simmer down soon enough. Then we will have loads of time to do all that fun stuff that we say we want to do and never do anyway...
That was a beautiful post!! (loved the picture, too!)
Bless you for sharing this.
Beautiful picture and Scripture. Friendships are important. Cultivating friendships does take time. I have met most of my friends at work, church or online. Investing time with them is vital and it's a fine balance to make sure I'm not neglecting my part at home. Happy WFW!
Oh what great thoughts! You are so right about it being difficult to find time for ourselves. I am trying more as mine gets older, but it is still difficult. I do have several friends with children and we get together for coffee while the children play. That has worked out well. But there is always room for improvement. Thank you for the reminder to try!
Happy WFW!
What a beautiful reminder. Thank you.
Wonderful, delightful, and lovely! And... so is your blog post my dearie! I look forward to hearing about your ideas on spending more quality time with friends! (And I'm going to take good notes!!)
a beautiful post and something i needed to hear! thanks for sharing this, especially at such a busy time of the year!
this was very perfect, M... So true, and so well said...
Amen! You speak volumes of truth ~ after reading this, Miriam, I made two calls to friends... each had a story to tell, needed a friend to listen and care ~ I got to be the friend "available" to share their burden for the moment.
Thanks, dear friend, for the timely reminder to make the time.
Love U
